english: portrait Ricardo DeAratanha

This is the guy that catches the ball before the goal, a dolphin in mid-air, the moment right before you know something is about to happen. It's like Ricardo DeAratanha has the ability to foresee the next step. His pictures are pure movement, a clic on the perfect moment, the right balance of color, the composition that speaks louder then the subject itself.
He went towards photojournalism, you know, that type of reporter that is often underestimated by the printed media, who seems to forget that a (good) picture is worth a thousand words. The 3 Pulitzers prizes he won as part of the Los Angeles Times team are here to prove that he is the exception to that rule.
The world that Ricardo sees, outside of the world of journalism, is not the same you and I perceive. It's a world thats looks for perfection in imperfection. Ricardo is a storyteller first, then a photographer. A narrator of an impossible world that makes it relatable and beautiful in his pictures. He is a blessing in our lives. He's the man!
